The Montana Department of Transportation, in partnership with Stillwater Electric Inc. and Knife River, announces construction at the intersections of U.S. Highway 93 with Treeline Road and Wyoming Street beginning this summer.

These intersection improvement projects will enhance safety and accessibility.

Nighttime construction is scheduled for the following dates, should weather and other unforeseen factors permit: U.S. 93 with Wyoming Street starting the week of July 28, and U.S. 93 with Treeline Road starting the week of Aug.11. Construction will take place during nighttime hours, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., to minimize disruptions and traveler impacts.

Approaches to both Treeline Road and Wyoming Street will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

U.S. 93 will be reduced to one lane in each direction with traffic control in place, and flaggers will be on-site to assist trucks entering and exiting the work zone.

Drivers should stay alert, follow posted signage, and use caution near construction areas. Pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.

Intersection improvements include aligning dedicated left turn lanes, adding permanent pavement markings, and upgrading sidewalks and ramps to enhance safety features and meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
