Roadwork to delay traffic near Wenatchee
STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 6 months, 2 weeks AGO
WENATCHEE — Travelers in the Wenatchee area should be prepared for delays on Highway 97A between Wenatchee and Entiat and on Highway 2 near Leavenworth.
Crews will be chip-sealing sections of 97A worn down by traffic Monday through Thursday, starting Monday. Work is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day and will require lane closures and lane shifting. Traffic will be regulated by automatic traffic control.
The project near Leavenworth involves removing trees and cleaning up the road for about eight miles west of Coles Corner from June 2 to 9. That road, too, will have automated traffic control.
The work on both projects is weather dependent, according to a Washington Department of Transportation press release, and the schedule may change.
