Priebe, a senior, won the state 6A high jump championship with a jump of 5 feet, 6 inches on May 17 at Mountain View High in Meridian. Priebe also won the District 1 title on May 8 at Coeur d’Alene High. Priebe qualified for state in the high jump as a junior, but did not place. “Kim is fairly new to the event, but her coachability, work ethic and natural talent led her to a state title in only her second year of doing the event,” Viking head track and field coach Shawn Amos said.
