LEGION BASEBALL: Prairie rolls past Coeur d'Alene

COEUR d’ALENE — Timothy Howard had four hits and three RBIs for the Prairie Cardinals in a 16-0 win over the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen in a Class A North Idaho League game at Thorco Field on Wednesday. 

Gavin Wienker struck out eight over four innings, allowing only a second inning walk for Prairie (6-2, 3-0 NIL). Toby Begalman hit a three-run triple in the fourth inning for Prairie. 

Coeur d’Alene is 2-7. 

Prairie competes in the Whitworth Showcase at Whitworth University starting Friday.

Coeur d’Alene hosts St. Maries next Wednesday.
