PRIDE: Why do we have to celebrate it?

Don’t get it,

This Pride stuff for the alphabet group, what are they proud of? Should we have Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, etc., pride month also?

Dictionary definition — “a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.”

So these groups have a different sexual orientation, OK so what? Why do we have to celebrate it? What personal actions did they do to be proud of? According to them they were born this way, so there was nothing they could be proud of. What was their personal achievement? Are these parades widely admired?

The only achievement I can see is their relentless ability of letting everyone know about their sexual orientation. It’s in your face and if you don’t like it, then your a, you name the adjective.

I think most people think, great, live your life in your bedroom, we just don’t care.

Yes, I am heterosexual, am I proud of that, not really. I had nothing to do with it, it’s just the way I was born.
