The nonprofit The Making Place hosts an evening of storytelling June 14 at the White Raven Winery in Columbia Falls, in collaboration with Flathead Story Concerts.

Storytelling Night is an event designed to bring people together through the art of live storytelling. Guests will hear local storytellers share memorable tales, all while enjoying the beautiful ambiance, wine, and food offered by White Raven.

“Hearing a well-told tale, that’s memorable and engaging, is like listening to music," Barbara Schiffman of Flathead Story Concerts said.

Stories curated for this event have been workshopped by Barbara Schiffman and fellow story coach Glenn Schiffman, of Flathead Story Concerts program, which is inspired by The Moth Radio Hour and PBS' “Stories from the Stage."

From 3 to 5:30 p.m., people are invited to take a complimentary winery tour and sample locally crafted wines. At 6 p.m., live music will be performed by Ben Darce and the storytelling begins at 7 p.m. People will have an opportunity to meet the storytellers at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15.38, which includes service fees, and may be purchased at themakingplacemt.com. The event is sponsored by Parkside Credit Union.

White Raven Winery is located at 7457 U.S. 2 E. in Columbia Falls.
