Blackfeet artist featured at Good Luck Gallery

A solo exhibition featuring the captivating works of artist Terran Last Gun opens at the Good Luck Gallery.

The exhibition, showcasing a collection of contemporary ledger drawings, opens Friday, June 13, with a special artist reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The event at the gallery in downtown Kalispell is free and open to the public. 

Terran Last Gun is a Blackfeet artist whose work explores themes of identity, culture, and the complexities of the modern Native experience. Drawing from his deep-rooted connection to his heritage, Last Gun combines traditional Native American artistic practices with contemporary techniques, resulting in a bold and dynamic body of work. 

His work speaks to the intersection of history and the present moment, offering a nuanced perspective on Native identity and the power of storytelling through visual art. The exhibition will feature a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media, offering viewers an immersive experience that invites reflection and conversation about the evolving narrative of Native art in the modern world. 

The artist reception on June 13 will offer an opportunity to meet Terran Last Gun in person and engage with the artist about his creative process and the stories behind his works.

The exhibit runs through Aug. 15. Good Luck Gallery is located at 127 Main St., Kalispell.
