Sandpoint Strikers 2014 girls win division at 3BR tourney

The 2014 Sandpoint Strikers Girls club soccer team won the the U11 Silver division of the 3BR Tournament held Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1 at the Kidsport Soccer Complex in Kalispell, Mont. After a 5-2 game one loss to the Gallatin Elite Soccer Club of Gallatin County, Mont., the girls bounced back to defeat the Strikers FC of Missoula, Mont. 8-0 and the Sting Soccer Club of Coeur d'Alene 5-1 to end pool play and clinch the championship match. At the podium, the team dedicated their first-place trophy to their teammate, Boheme Parr-Coffin, as a parting gift of appreciation. Team members include Kaijah Beuskens, Angeline Crosby, McKinley Decker, Piper Fenton, Hadley Hagen, Ava Huguenin, Annabelle Leonard, Millie Mahoney, Mila Martin, Margot Mitchell, Boheme Parr-Coffin, Libby Piehl, Katia Tadic, Matilda Wassif and Kylie Weisz.
