Nationally touring artists Moontricks and DJ Epik will headline the first Stumptown Get Down benefit concert. Whitefish-based Analog Armada opens the show June 21 at Depot Park in Whitefish.
Presented by QLTD Audio in collaboration with Vigilante Provisions, the concert is a fundraiser for the Flathead Warming Center in Kalispell. The Flathead Warming Center provides low-barrier access to shelter, shower and laundry facilities to people in need, along with other onsite resources.
Moontricks is an “electro-folk duo whose sound is steeped in tradition and polished with a futuristic sheen, mixing organic folk, roots rock, and old-time blues with modern electronic production,” based in the “rustic Kootenay Mountains of Western Canada,” according to the band’s bio at moontricksmusic.com.
Hailing from Sacramento, California, DJ Epik is a DJ, producer and self-proclaimed “vinyl junkie,” who “plays tunes ranging from funk and hip-hop to Latin, boogie, and soul, guaranteed to keep a dance floor moving with feel-good vibes,” according to soulinthehorn.com.
Locals, Analog Armada, are a DJ and drummer duo who combine digital tracks with organic percussion to provide a dynamic sound.
There will be food trucks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. There will also be numerous community resource organizations onsite to provide concertgoers with information. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and empty water bottles to the event. Dogs are not permitted in the park during the event.
The concerts will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Depot Park is located at 510 Railway St. in Whitefish.
