ALL-IDAHO SOFTBALL: Gugino, Davenport named to 6A first team

Lake City High senior shortstop Layla Gugino and Coeur d’Alene sophomore pitcher/infielder Jenna Davenport were named to the All-Idaho softball first team, as announced by The Idaho Statesman newspaper of Boise.
Gugino, who has signed with Montana, hit .506 and drove in 57 runs for the Timberwolves.
Davenport was 9-4 in the circle with a 2.50 ERA and 124 strikeouts for the Vikings. She also batted .492.
Timberlake freshman pitcher Shae Jones was named to the 4A second team.
In 5A, Lewiston junior third baseman/pitcher Jenna Barney was named to the first team, and Jesse Roehl of Lewiston was Coach of the Year. Moscow senior first baseman/center fielder Kaci Kiblen was named to the second team.
In 3A, Orofino senior catcher/third baseman Rilee Diffin was named to the first team. Grangeville junior second baseman Addisyn Vanderwall and Orofino senior shortstop/third baseman Livia Johnson were named to the second team.
Coaches statewide vote for the All-Idaho teams. The Statesman publishes the results.
