ONE SITE: Grateful for concern, support

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 months, 1 week AGO
| June 15, 2025 1:00 AM

We at One Site for Seniors are so grateful for the outpouring of concern and community support since the article about our temporary closing was published in the Coeur d’Alene Press on May 10.

We realize that the article gives the impression that our adult day center is permanently closed, but want to reassure both donors and the community that we chose to pause services in order to find a more effective and sustainable way forward.

With the loss of government grants, our board felt strongly that we should take the time needed to build a solid foundation. Our vision is for a stronger, better program that is sustainable and not dependent on government funding. We are keenly aware of the ongoing need for client memory care, caregiver support and education, and hope to be back to serving you all soon!

How can you help?

• A LOCATION! Help us find a space for the program from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2 days per week.

• VOLUNTEER! We will need people to help guests, cook lunch, and lead activities. Sign up to help this Fall.

• DONATE! We will need meals, supplies, and funds for respite scholarships.

• PRAY! We need wise direction, and help to create a joyful, engaging and meaningful service that reflects God’s love.

Consider attending one of our community meetings to hear about what’s next. For more information and updates, visit our website at www.onesite4seniors.org or our Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/OneSite4Seniors/
