Flathead Land Trust invites the community to their 40th anniversary celebration, Protect & Connect. The event will be held at the Kohrs property west of Whitefish on Saturday, June 21, starting at 11 a.m.
Nestled along the Stillwater River, the stunning venue is permanently protected by a conservation easement held by Flathead Land Trust, safeguarding over 650 acres of farmland and riparian habitat.
Participants will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch from Uptown Hearth, along with wine, local beer and other refreshing drinks, as Mike Murray performs live music.
Throughout the afternoon, guests can engage in property tours, hayrides, face painting and games for the kids, and a nostalgic program looking back at 40 years of conservation.
There will be a raffle featuring prizes like cabin stays, a guided fly-fishing excursion, ski and mountain biking passes, and a variety of other unique experiences and treasures.
The event will conclude with a paddle raise, where all donations will have the chance to be matched. Contributions will help further Flathead Land Trust’s mission of conserving northwest Montana’s land and water legacy for future generations.
This event will celebrate the water, wildlife and stunning open spaces in Northwest Montana. It is the annual fundraising event for Flathead Land Trust, with proceeds helping to protect bird and wildlife habitat, sustain scenic and agriculturally productive lands and secure public access to special places in the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana.
Tickets are $40 per person. Kids under 10 are free.
