A Legion: Loggers top Moscow; Reps blank Lakers

LIBBY — Tanner Wolfe had three hits and four runs batted in, and James Woody and Kale Riddle stymied the Moscow bats as the Libby Loggers beat the Blue Devils 7-2 at the Big Bucks Tournament Thursday.

Rose and Bransen Holzer hit doubles in the first inning for Libby (9-18), both coming in on Wolfe’s single. 

The Loggers scored three more runs in the second thanks to Rose’s single, two hit batters and another two-run single from Wolfe.  

Boe Miles and Holzer hit sacrifice flies in the sixth. Holzer’s brought in Aidan Rose with his third run. Rose had three hits. 

Wood went four innings, allowing three hits, five walks and one run. He fanned seven. Riddle allowed three hits, a walk and a run. He struck out one. 

Connor Zollinger had an RBI double in the seventh for Moscow. Nathan Poler drove in the other run for the Idaho squad, with a bases-loaded walk in the third. 


Reps 6, A Lakers 0 

BOZEMAN — The Kalispell A Lakers’ debut game at the Howard Rein Tournament was a quiet one, with two Helena Reps pitchers combining on a one-hitter. 

Tait Orme had the lone hit for the Lakers (18-15), a two-out base hit off reliever Jake Willcut. Tyler Kaiser started for the Reps (10-8) and allowed no hits and two walks in four innings. He fanned six.  Willcut threw the last three innings, striking out one. 

Max Schara went six innings for the Lakers, scattering 10 hits and one walk. He allowed four earned runs. He hit one batter and struck out two. 

Brady Perlinski had an RBI double for Helena, and Macrae Mongoven had three hits and two RBIs. 

The Lakers play the Northern Lakes Mountaineers out of Rathdrum, Idaho, Friday at 12:30 p.m. The tournament concludes Sunday.
