A Polson High School student is stepping up to give local athletes a big opportunity — and support a worthy cause.
Incoming sophomore Case Cox is organizing the “More Than a Game Football Camp,” set to take place June 30–July 1 at Polson High School. The camp will feature youth and high school sessions led by a roster of experienced coaches and former pros, including Jim McElwain, Greg Peach, Sammy Akem, Mac Mallohan, Mike Cutler, and Tyler Whittier.
Cox, who was inspired by his love of football and desire to bring new voices to Lake and Sanders counties, launched the effort earlier this year with the support of CFL standout Greg Peach.
All proceeds from the camp will benefit CASA of Sanders and Lake County, an organization that advocates for children in the foster care system.
Cox is also fundraising to ensure all interested youth can attend, regardless of ability to pay. Schools and community members interested in helping promote the event or sponsor a student are encouraged to get in touch.
