Vaughn Murinko was born June 10, 1962, in Rock Springs, Wyo. Vaughn passed away Jan. 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
Vaughn was the beloved son of Francis Edward and Burma Ruth Murinko, and was raised by Skip and Betty Murinko, he was the devoted partner of Jerilee Steig Murinko. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Shane Murinko and Jerod Murinko. Vaughn was a dedicated family man who always prioritized his loved ones.
During his time on this earth, Vaughn attended Mullan High School in Idaho, then joined the Navy in 1984. Vaughn was very proud of his service. When he separated from the Navy, he returned to the Pacific Northwest and went on to own a construction company in Montana during the 1990s. He later worked as a superintendent for Sletten Construction, where he was highly respected for his leadership and expertise in the field. Outside of work, Vaughn had a passion for volunteering. He could often be found at the gun range or helping out with the church youth group. His selflessness and commitment to serving others were truly inspiring.
Vaughn Murinko will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He touched the lives of all who knew him and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
His celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Shoshone Park in Mullan, Idaho.
