Motorcyclist struck by carjacker dies

The motorcyclist hit by a carjacker at Stateline amid a Sunday morning crime spree has died from his injures, according to multiple media outlets.
Richard Embree was hospitalized with serious injuries after 43-year-old Ryan Tietsort hit him with a stolen car, according to police.
KREM 2 reported that Embree died Wednesday due to cardiac arrest.
During Tietsort's crime spree, authorities said he stole multiple vehicles, struck Embree and fatally shot Gary Hill, who intervened in one of the carjackings.
A Spokane County sheriff’s deputy later shot and killed Tietsort.

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Museum & Art Center will host Stampa-Palooza this weekend as the September Free Family Saturday. “We will have a variety of stamps, ink pads, and cardstock available to create custom projects,” Museum Communications Coordinator Natalya Zuyeva wrote in an email to the Columbia Basin Herald. “Pick out your favorite designs and stamp away.” The museum hosts the craft event on the first Saturday of the month, with all the supplies paid for through memberships and donations. Although there’s no charge, families are asked to register at the museum’s website.
