University of Idaho Theatre Arts to hold summer aerial arts camps for youth

The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts is presenting new summer aerial arts camps for kids ages 7 to 18.

The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts has announced new summer aerial arts camps for kids ages 7 to 18.
Campers will learn skills on aerial silks while building confidence, strength and creativity. Led by faculty members and Gem State Flyers aerialists, the camps will introduce youth to the basic vocabulary and techniques of aerial performance.
Two options are available:
• Aerial Basics (ages 7-12): 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, June 23-27, with a group showcase at 2 p.m. June 28. Tuition is $225.
• Aerial Basics + Performance (ages 13-18): 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 23-27, and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 7-11. Showcases are 7 p.m. July 11, and 2 p.m. July 12. Tuition is $375.
