PULLMAN, Wash. — The Kalispell AA Lakers plated three runs in third inning, but Baden Premier scored seven runs in the final two frames for an 8-3 victory in American Legion baseball late Saturday at Bailey-Brayton Field.

Andre Cephers led off the third inning with a triple and came around to tie the game for the Lakers first run of the game. Another error and defensive indifference scored Ostyn Brennan before Kade Kahler singled for the Kalispell’s only RBI of the game.

The Lakers (22-10) led 3-1 but didn’t record another hit until the seventh inning, a Teegan Dixon single, before a walk and double play ended the game. Jackson Heino took the bump for the Lakers, allowing five hits, five strikeouts and six runs, two of them earned.

Baden (21-9) was still down 3-1 entering the bottom half of the fifth inning when it began a two-out rally. After giving up a leadoff double, Heino gave up back-to-back two-out hits that tied the game, 3-3.

An error extended the inning and to more singles made it 6-3. Gordon Williamson singled home two more runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Williamson led all hitters with three RBIs.
