SANDPOINT — Dust off your tunics and polish your swords — Sandpoint’s annual Renaissance Faire returns this weekend, promising two days of medieval merriment, jousting and old-world charm.

Transport through time on June 28-29 with fair events that will leave you feeling like you’re in the late 1500s, organizers said. Located at the Bonner County Fairgrounds, activities will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A Sandpoint tradition dating back to 2017, this year’s fair includes festivities galore as an estimated 7,000 participants come from all over to enter the world of wonder and revelry at the annual event.

Participants will have a chance to wander the grounds between the events and might even run into special guests Flora, Fauna and Fae of the Faerie Realm or Harley LaQuinn, a renaissance jester. The Merfolk of Spokane will also be nearby, floating about in an underwater themed booth — “shellfies” are encouraged.

On Sunday, fair-goers will have a chance to spot Lady Andorra, a nine-foot-tall avatar filled with personality.

Daily tickets at the gate are $18 for adults; $14 for seniors and youth ages 6-17; and free for children 5 and under. A weekend pass, for both Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, is $32 for adults; $24 for seniors and youth ages 6-17; and there is no charge for youth 5 years and under.
