POST FALLS —  The Idaho State Veterans Home Post Falls recently received accolades for scoring in the top 15% of 1,800 skilled nursing homes nationwide.

The milestone was recognized with the 2025 Pinnacle Customer Experience Award through Activated Insights after surveys of current and past residents, guardians and family members of the 59 residents at the veterans home in the past 12 months.

“It’s a testament to the unwavering commitment our staff shows each day in creating a supportive, respectful and healing environment for our residents,” home administrator Amber Goodchild said.

As part of a celebration, the veterans home is hosting an open house from noon to 2 p.m. July 3.

“We take great pride in what we do and our residents have given so much to ensure we have our freedoms,” she said. “It's a meaningful time to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of the incredible service of our veterans.”

The nursing home opened in November 2022. The first residents moved into the facility in 2023.

Goodchild said she was proud of the staff for having only been around for a couple of years and attain such a positive response.

“It just shows the type of care the team is providing and we’re giving back by caring for America's heroes and giving them everything they truly deserve," she said.
