Bonnie Rachel Benson, 92, of Kalispell, passed away at Logan Health Kalispell on Feb. 26, 2025.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1933, in Spearfish, South Dakota, to Louie and Cathryn Sasse. She spent her early life in South Dakota.
She moved to the Flathead Valley in 1948. On Jan. 27, 1951, she married John "Jack" Benson in Kalispell.
Bonnie was a lifetime member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who know and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1985; parents, Louie and Cathryn Sasse; sister, LaDona Vitt; infant brother, Will and grandson, Dan Benson.
She is survived by three sons, Ed (Linda), Wayne (Jane) and Monty (Paula); along with seven grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with viewing to begin one hour prior to service, on Tuesday, March 4, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 215 Blacktail Road, Lakeside.
