Hamilton, a 113-pound sophomore, beat teammate Ryker Allen 5-2 to win the state 6A championship on Saturday at ICCU Arena in Pocatello, helping the Trojans claim their first team title since 2020. Hamilton won twice by pin, and another by major decision to advance to the finals. “Matthew was really dominant all weekend,” interim Post Falls coach Jeremy Zender said. “He was in control of his matches and wrestled really well the entire weekend.”
