Zags, Cougs earn all-WCC academic honors
Gonzaga's Braden Huff was named to the 2025 West Coast Conference men's basketball academic team the league announced.
Huff boasts a 3.48 grade point average as a business administration major, with a concentration in marketing.
On the court, Huff is scoring 10.7 points per game at 57.8 percent shooting from the field.
Yvonne Ejim and Claire O'Connor of Gonzaga were named to the WCC All-Academic Team in women's basketball Three Bulldogs were also named to the All-Academic Honorable Mention Team — Maud Huijbens, Esther Little and Bree Salenbien.
This is the first honor for O'Connor as she boasts a 4.0 GPA. Ejim has been named to the WCC All-Academic Team for three straight years and was also named to the Honorable Mention team in her sophomore season.
Washington State's women had five players honored. Eleonora Villa was named to the WCC All-Academic Team, while Alex Covill, Astera Tuhina, Jenna Villa and Tara Wallack all earned All-Academic Honorable Mention.
• Ejim is also one of five finalists for the Becky Hammon Player of the Year Award. The others are Katie Dinnebier of Drake; Megan McConnell of Duquesne; Harmoni Turner of Harvard and Laura Ziegler of Saint Joseph's.
