EAGLE — Senior Asher Williams hit four 3-pointers, scored 19 of his 28 points in the first half, and came away with a game-high six steals as the top-seeded Badgers defeated the No. 5 Eagles in a state 4A semifinal at Eagle High.
Senior Thomas Bateman added 15 points, 13 in the second half, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots for the Badgers (23-1), which will face No. 2 Snake River (25-3) in the title game today at 2:50 p.m. PST at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. The teams met in the state 3A semis in 2023, Bonners winning 55-54.
Senior Brody Rice added 12 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Peyton Hinthorn had six assists.
Jaxon Smith had four 3-pointers and 18 points for Marsh Valley (13-12).
Bonners Ferry has won 40 out of its last 41 games dating back to Dec. 28, 2023.
