ALL-LEAGUE BOYS BASKETBALL: Four Spartans receive honors; Stifel named Co-MVP

CO-MVP: Nate Stifel
A senior forward standing at 6-foot 3-inches tall, Nate started and played in all 20 games this year for the Spartans and averaged 10.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game all while shooting 62% from the field. He had a tied for season-high 19 points against Grangeville on Jan. 18 and against Orofino on Dec. 14... a season-high 10 rebounds against St. Maries on Jan. 21... a season-high four assists against Grangeville on Feb. 1... a season-high four steals against Clark Fork on Jan. 9... and a season-high four blocks against Kellogg on Feb. 15. Stifel was also named to the Idahosports.com 4A/3A All-North Idaho Team for his efforts this season.
ALL-LEAGUE: Palmer Coleman
A senior guard standing a 6-foot 1-inch tall, Palmer started and played in all 20 games this year for the Spartans and averaged 9.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.3 blocks per game in addition to running the Priest River offense. He had a season-high 17 points against St. Maries on Feb. 26... a tied for season-high nine rebounds against Timberlake on Jan. 7 and against Orofino on Jan. 24... a tied for season-high nine assists against Coeur du Christ on Dec. 11 and against Kellogg on Feb. 15... a tied for season-high five steals against Grangeville on Feb. 1 and against Kellogg on Feb. 15... and a season-high two blocks against Newport on Dec. 7.
ALL-LEAGUE: Sawyer Staudt
A senior guard standing at 5-foot 10-inches tall, Sawyer started and played in all 20 games this year for the Spartans and averaged 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game in addition to being Priest River's go-to 3-point shooter. He had a season-high 20 points, including six 3-pointers, against Genesis Prep on Dec. 12... a season-high seven rebounds against Clark Fork on Jan. 9... a season-high four assists against St. Maries on Feb. 26... and a season-high four steals against Clark Fork on Jan. 9.
ALL-LEAGUE: Carter Cook
A senior forward standing at 6-foot 3-inches tall, Carter started and played in 19 games this year for the Spartans and averaged 7.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks per game and routinely made tough shots while fighting through contact down low. He had a season-high 12 points against St. Maries on Feb. 18... a tied for season-high 11 rebounds against Timberlake on Jan. 7, against St. Maries on Jan. 21 and against Orofino on Dec. 14... a season-high four assists against Grangeville on Jan. 18... a tied for season-high two steals against Clark Fork on Jan. 9, against St. Maries on Feb. 18 and against Orofino on Feb. 24... and a season-high three blocks against Orofino on Jan. 24.
