An Athol man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 95 in Bonner County this morning.
According to the Idaho State Police, the crash occurred about 10 a.m. near milepost 487, just north of Samuels. A 48-year-old Athol man was driving a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on U.S. 95 when he drove left of center.
The vehicle struck a southbound 2024 Freightliner semi-truck driven by a 31-year-old man from Calgary, Canada.
The Silverado driver was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, ISP said.
U.S. 95 was blocked for about three hours.
