This week’s poster player of the week presented by Corwin Motors goes to Taryn Borgen of the Columbia Falls Wildkats.
Taryn had a great week at the Class A divisionals and helped lead Columbia Falls to the No. 4 seed and advance to the state tournament.
In her first game Thursday she scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers in a 51-37 win over Hamilton.
She followed that up with 14 points and two more 3’s on Friday in a loss to Frenchtown which set up a must-win game on Saturday.
The team was able to knock-off Ronan 69-65 and while she only had 5 points it was enough to clinch a state berth.
Columbia Falls has a huge challenge ahead as they face an undefeated Billings Central team on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Good luck to the Wildkats and congratulations to Taryn Borgen for winning this week’s poster player of the week honors.
