Two people were arrested following a standoff on the 700 block of 10th Avenue West on Tuesday, authorities say.

Patricia Marie Holcomb, 57, and Arnold W. Deans, 52, both of Kalispell, were taken into custody about 1:30 p.m. and later transported to the county jail, according to Kalispell Police Department officials.

Officers were responding to a U.S. Marshal's arrest warrant for Holcomb about 10:45 a.m., March 18 when she allegedly barricaded herself inside a house. She is subsequently facing pending charges of obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest, police said.

Deans was arrested on a previously issued warrant, according to authorities.

The Northwest Montana Regional SWAT Team was brought in to defuse the standoff, officials said. They cleared the scene at about 3:30 p.m.
