William (Bill) Hildreth Cook

William (Bill) Hildreth Cook passed away March 6, 2025, in Kalispell, Montana, after a very hard-fought battle with cancer; his sisters were holding his hands as he left this world behind.

Bill was born Dec. 8, 1976, to Herb and Sandra Cook in Libby, Montana, where he joined three big sisters, Bill always joked that he had four moms.

He grew up in Libby, Montana, where he attended school and graduated from Libby High School. He then joined the United States Army in 1997 and was honorably discharged in 2004.

Bill spent much of his life raising his four children in Libby, Montana. He worked for the NAPA Store in Libby for many years, at the time of his passing he was working for Northwest Plastics in Kalispell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herb Cook and Sandra Blow; his stepdad Gary Blow; a brother-in-law Craig Huffman; his wife Sandra Cook; numerous aunts and uncles; both maternal and paternal grandparents; and cousins.

He is survived by his four children: Taylor Cook, Brittany Gallegos (Nick), Owen Cook and Ayla Cook; his sisters: Sheri, Christi and Teresa; brother Brian; stepbrother Marvin; his four grandchildren: (who were his shining pride) Zariah, Aspen, Emberlee Rose and Dario Francisco; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.

A service for Bill will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Mormon Church in Libby Montana. Bill’s final resting place will be with his dad in Shelby, Montana.
