Ann Lucille Mitchell of Polson passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born in Seattle, Wash., in June of 1931 to Charles F Roening and Anna (Schwartz) Roening.  Ann was their only child.

She grew up in the Seattle area and after graduating high school, she met Jack Mitchell who was from Polson. They were married in 1950.

Ann and Jack lived in Seattle, Yakima, Sacramento, and finally in Polson. They had three children, Rick, Cheri and Daren.

Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri, and her husband of 73 years, Jack. She leaves behind two sons and two daughters-in-law. There are eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a small graveside service planned for this summer on July 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery in the Military Veteran section. Memorials can be sent to Shriners Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Wash., or, because of her love for dogs, to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter in Polson.

Arrangements are under the care of The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.
