NIC SOFTBALL: Cardinals win opener, have nightcap suspended due to weather

LEWISTON — North Idaho College won the first game of a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader 7-5 over the Utah State-Eastern Eagles 7-5 at Airport Park on Friday afternoon.
The second game was suspended due to weather with Utah State-Eastern leading 12-7 in the top of the fifth inning.
Further information was not available.
The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader today in Lewiston, starting at noon.
