CDAIDE to host seventh annual Care Affair

CDAIDE will host its seventh annual Care Affair event April 25 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort to support local hospitality workers through times of financial crisis. The evening will feature a smorgasbord of foods by top Sysco chefs, auctions, live music, a no-host bar and appetizers provided by local chefs.

CDAIDE will host its seventh annual Care Affair event April 25 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
The Care Affair is a charity gala that raises funds to support local hospitality workers through times of financial crisis. The evening will feature a smorgasbord of foods by top Sysco chefs, auctions, live music, a no-host bar and appetizers provided by local chefs. Last year's Care Affair was attended by more than 200 people.
Proceeds will be used by CDAIDE to assist food service and hospitality workers with housing, transportation, utilities and medical/dental bills. CDAIDE helped around 320 hospitality workers and their families through financial struggles in 2024.
“We really need the community to show up for the Care Affair,” CDAIDE Executive Director Jason Nye said in a recent news release.
He said funding has been a struggle for many local nonprofits over the past couple of years and CDAIDE is facing that same challenge.
"Contributions have a direct impact on the lives of those living in our community, helping keep families housed, healthy and safe at times when they are most at risk of slipping into homelessness," Nye said.
