Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 1 month, 1 week AGO
Dorothy “Jean” (Hansen) Fuller died peacefully in her sleep at Maryville Nursing Home in Beaverton, Oregon, in the early morning hours of March 13, 2025. She was 97, just a few months shy of her 98th birthday.
Jean was born on May 27, 1927, in Beaverton to Carl and Beatrice (Lee) Hansen. She was the second daughter to join the family. Jean graduated from Beaverton High School in 1945. Shortly after high school, Jean married Ivan Bonneville in 1946 and gave birth to their son, Stephen Bonneville in 1948. She later divorced Ivan. She then met Orville Fuller and married in 1952. They soon welcomed their daughter, Karen Fuller in 1953.
The family eventually moved to Eureka where she worked for the U.S. Post Office for many years. Jean eventually divorced Orville. She continued to live in Eureka until she enrolled in nursing school in Havre where she graduated as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at the age of 49.
Working as an LPN took her to many places including Anchorage, Alaska, and Redmond, Oregon. She eventually ended up in Kalispell in 1983 and worked her final years as an LPN at Brenden House and Kalispell Regional Hospital.
After retiring, Jean spent most of her remaining years in Kalispell, living in her home until she had a fall that broke her leg in early 2023. After this, Jean ultimately made the decision to sell her home and move back to Oregon to be close to her son and extended family. Jean moved into Marysville Nursing Home in Beaverton in the summer of 2023 and remained there until her passing.
Jean was a loving mother to Steve and Karen. She was a grandmother of four, great-grandmother of seven, and great-great-grandmother of two, as well as a family member and friend to many others, near and far.
Jean was preceded in death by her father and mother, Carl and Beatrice Hansen; sister, Margaret (Hansen) Neff; daughter, Karen Fuller and granddaughter, Briana Fuller.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Bonneville (Beryl) of Hillsboro, Oregon; granddaughter Amy Muniz (Mike) of Hillsboro, Oregon; grandson Corbin Bonneville (Chaundra) of Gresham, Oregon; granddaughter Kyrsten Bronson (Nick) of Billings; stepson Dennis Lawrance of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation and gravesite services have already taken place at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard, Oregon, where her final wish was to be buried with her dad, mom and sister.
We will miss Jean, who was our mom, grandma, aunt, and dear friend. Thank you for all the love, laughter, and memories.
