BIGFORK — Riley Zetooney swept the 100 and 200 for Whitefish, and the Bulldogs won the boys title at the Bigfork Triangular track and field meet held Thursday.

Zetooney set personal records in both wins, and his time of 11.21 seconds in the 100 sits second in Class A. His time of 23.09 in the 200 is No. 8 and meets the Class A qualifying standard.

Teammate Bodee Hanson ran the 100 in 11.33, a PR that puts in in the top six in Class A. Sophomore Colby Minton’s 400 time of 51.05 is in the top five and Simon Douglas lowered his best time in the 3,200 to 9:48.35 (third in A).

The Bulldogs scored 61 points to edge Columbia Falls (59) and the host Vikings (56).

Tamret Savik swept the high and triple jumps for Bigfork. Lane Voermans threw 168 feet, 7 inches in the discus and also won the shot put for Columbia Falls, and Isak Soyland again hit a PR in the pole vault, winning with a height of 14-1. Soyland remains No. 2 in Class A.

On the girls side, Columbia Falls scored 72 points to 56 for Whitefish and 44 for Bigfork.

The Wildkats’ Chloe Savoy won the 1,600 in a PR of 5:21.1 to lead a 1-2-3 Columbia Falls finish in the event. Fellow Kats Tia Baker and Sofie Albiero won the 100 and 300 hurdles.

Rachael Wilmot’s time of 12.58 in the 100 meters stood out, though it wasn’t a PR for the Whitefish senior. Wilmot also won the 400 Thursday. Freshman Chantry Krack was the only other double-winner, in the triple and long jumps.

Another Bulldog, freshman Grace Sliman, became the eighth Class A girl to get 5-0 in the high jump.

Bigfork’s Millie Hall threw 34-9 in the shot put, fifth-best in Class A.

Eureka sweeps Lincoln County Meet

LIBBY — Eureka’s Josh Lambertsen, Karli Campbell and Zoey Hanson each won two events, and the Lions swept the team titles at the Lincoln County Meet.

Lambertsen won the boys 100 and 400 and Eureka took every time boys event that wasn’t a hurdles race. Eureka scored 96 points to 70 for Libby and seven for Troy.

Hanson won the shot put and discus for the Lions girls squad, while Campbell was victorious in the high jump and pole vault (10-0, for the second time this season).

That and some depth added up to 85 points, enough to overcome four wins by Libby’s Bergen Fortner and two from Capri Farmer. The Loggers had 58 points, and Troy scored 13.

Fortner, a senior, swept the hurdles races and also won the long and triple jumps. Farmer, a freshman, won the 400 and 800 — she PR’d in both, and her 800 time of 2:23.16 sits fourth in Class A.
