Allan T. Pough, 77

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Allan T. Pough on April 19, 2025, in Newport, Wash.
Allan was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Boise, Idaho, to parents Earl Franklin and Mary Helen Pough (deceased) and three siblings, Robert Earl (deceased), Joanne Maxine and Dianne Marie.
Allan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, [Specialist, Company C, 2d Battalion (Airmobile), 5th Cavalry], from May 6, 1968, and was honorably discharged May 1, 1974. While serving, Allan was awarded three awards: The Air Medal Award for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight, The Army Commendation Medal, which distinguished him as exceptionally meritorious in support of military operations against communist aggression and the distinguished Purple Heart. We are forever grateful for his service and bravery.
In 1984, Allan met the love of his life, Catherine, who survives him along with her children, whom he loved and called his own: Dorothy (Melvin) Strahl, Anita (Craig) Matas, Juanita Laborin and Carlos Laborin. Also survived by his grandchildren Angel (Joseph), Andrea, Anthony (Jessica), Adrianna and Tyler, 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A “Prince” to his loving family, Allan will be forever missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
Allan will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Spirit Lake, Idaho, on May 5, 2025, at 11 a.m.
