City of Coeur d’Alene CDBG Entitlement Program Notice of Funding Availability The City of Coeur d’Alene hereby gives Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) as part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Community Opportunity Grant (COG) and invites competitive grant proposals for projects that benefit low- and moderate- income (LMI) persons or neighborhoods in the City of Coeur d’Alene. Funding for the grant program comes from the City’s CDBG allocation, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), (reference 24 CFR Part 570). While the City has not yet received a funding notice from HUD, it is expected the 2025 allocation will be similar to last year’s allocation of $296,418. We anticipate there will be approximately $81,644 available in Plan Year 2025 COG funding, and approximately $36,900 available of remaining COG funding from prior plan years 2020-2022 available for eligible grant proposals. A maximum of $34,400 will be available for Public Service projects. Eligible projects will be considered including Public Facilities, Public Services, and LMI Affordable Housing, including for-sale and for-rent products. Minimum proposal requests of $20,000 will be accepted for all projects. Applicants and funding requests must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. NOTICE INVITING BIDS FIRE MITIGATION SHOSHONE COUNTY, IDAHO NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Shoshone County Fire Mitigation Program will accept sealed bids for a Forest Health and Fuel Reduction Project. This project is funded by a grant from the Idaho Department of Lands in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service as part of the State Fire Assistance grant program. The purpose of this grant is to conduct hazard fuel treatment work on private lands to reduce wildfire threats to communities in Shoshone County. This project is in the Prichard area and is approximately 30 to 50 acres. Primarily hand and some mechanical treatment methods will be used to prune or thin standing trees, remove standing and down dead timber, ladder fuels, and underbrush. Slash created from these thinning and pruning activities will be machine masticated, and/or chipped, and/or piled and burned depending upon site specific conditions. There will be a project site visit at which time there will be bid packets available, a prescription review, maps explained and questions about the project addressed.
