Lisa Marie Stover
Oct. 4, 1957 – April 5, 2025
Lisa Marie Stover, 67, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away peacefully April 5, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with COPD.
Born on Oct. 4, 1957, in San Francisco, Calif., to Edward and Chick Raffo, Lisa spent her early years in California before relocating to Idaho in the early 1980s, where she built a beautiful life and raised her family.
Lisa lived life on her terms — fiercely independent, full of grit, humor and grace. She had a heart that loved deeply, forgave freely, and always saved a seat for anyone who needed comfort. She offered others a safe place to land, an ear to bend, and a shoulder to lean on without judgment.
She loved time with family, cooking, camping, rock painting, and long drives with no destination — every trip was an “adventure.” Lisa also loved crafts, especially the “kind-of-crafts” that didn’t need to be perfect to be full of love.
Lisa is survived by her husband, John; her sister, Julie; her children: David, Brandon, Christy and Cheri; and her favorite son-in-law, Steve. She was a proud grandmother to Dawn Marie, Mike, Gabrielle, Jaicie, Shaylynn and Tyia. She was also “Gigi” to six great-grandchildren: Knox (“My Little Buddy”), Maliyah (“Gigi’s Little Cutie”), Ryker, Brayden, Malaya and Myla.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. at 17963 N. Vicki Road, Rathdrum, Idaho.
In Lisa’s memory:
• If you smoke, quit.
• If you drink, don’t drive.
• Turn off the electronics and talk to your kids.
• Forgive someone.
• Take the long way home.
• Make someone smile today.
Lisa would remind us that life isn’t about perfection — it’s about love, laughter, and choosing the scenic route.
