Timothy Charles “Mack” McQuinn, 77, passed away peacefully at Schneidmiller Hospice House on April 17, 2025. He was born June 15, 1947, in Wichita, Kan., to Maurice and Jean McQuinn. After graduating from school in Wichita, Tim joined the U.S. Navy in 1966, serving during the Vietnam War and earning the rank of CS3 before his honorable discharge in 1970.

Tim later moved to North Idaho, attended the University of Idaho, and made his home in Spirit Lake. A talented carpenter, he helped build many homes in the area and took pride in seeing the results of his work throughout the community.

An avid outdoorsman, Tim loved fishing, scuba diving, downhill skiing at Schweitzer and driving tractors. He had a knack for tying knots, enjoyed cooking and cherished time spent with family, especially his daughter, Sam.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Samantha Donais, (and Chad Hull) and their son, Brandon Mulkins; son Josh (and Elizabeth) Berry and their four children; brothers Michael and Patrick McQuinn; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Online condolences may be shared at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.

Blessed be the life and memory of Timothy Charles McQuinn.
