There’s been a lot of sunshine over the canals of the Columbia Basin and that will continue throughout most of this week. Law enforcement and the irrigation districts remind folks that, while it may look pleasantly cool, the water in a canal can be dangerous and unpredictable with eddies and currents that can quickly drown even very experienced and skilled swimmers, so don’t swim in the irrigation water.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. West wind 7 to 13 mph. Mostly cloudy at night, with a low around 47. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Partly cloudy evening, with a low around 47.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Mostly clear late in the day, with a low around 45.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Mostly cloudy toward evening, with a low around 49.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Mostly cloudy and cool in the evening, with a low around 48.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
