PREP ROUNDUP: Cd'A Charter captures sixth straight district tennis title

LEWISTON — The Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy won its sixth straight district title on Saturday at the 4A District 1-2 tournament.
Charter won the boys and girls district titles, as well as the overall title. The Panthers competed against Bonners Ferry, Clark Fork, Grangeville, Clearwater Valley, Culdesac and Orofino.
Tate Burkholder and Owen Sharp of Cd'A Charter won their third straight district title in boys doubles, beating teammates Aeden Aguirre and Thomas Wright in the finals.
Panthers Lydia Lehosit and Claire Leahy won their second straight district title in girls doubles. Charter's Abi Johnson and Shae Oxford were fourth.
Mattis Macmillan of Charter won in boys singles, Raphael Reynaud was third, Cooper Hermes fifth.
Bonnie Brumley and Tommy Strait of Charter won the district title in mixed doubles, beating teammates Jillian Provost and Sam Poncato.
Etta Corkhill of Charter was fourth in girls singles.
Coeur d'Alene Charter qualified 16 to state, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Ridgevue High of Nampa, and Owyhee High of Meridian.
