Bullpups swim clinches 1-point victory to end season

MOSCOW — The Sandpoint Middle School swim team won 12 of 19 events, defeating Moscow by a score of 123-122 in what was a thrilling season-ending invitational, the MMS Cubs Invite, held this past Friday, May 9 at the University of Idaho Swim Center.
On the girls side, Myelle Jensen won the 100-yard individual medley, Alivia Storms won the 50 breast, Athena de Leeuw won the 50 fly and Savannah Ferris won the 100 free. Jensen, Storms, de Leeuw, and Claire Ballard combined to sweep the relays, winning the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
For the boys, Andrew Ford won the 100 individual medley and 50 breast. Gunnar Gustafson was victorious in the 50 free, Leo Montecchi won the 25 free, and Tucker Hanson won the 50 back.
In the mixed 200 medley relay, McKinley Hull, Ford, Addy Tyler, and Gustafson came away with a gold medal to round out the Bullpups' meet winners.
