Fire season underway in region

The Bonner County Fire Prevention Co-op is reminding area residents that the region's fire season is officially here. With the advent of the fire season, residents must have a permit in order to burn any yard waste. 

Those with questions should contact their local fire department or the Idaho Department of Lands. Burn permits are available at no charge outside most city limits and are available online. Those living inside city limits who plan to burn will need to contact their local fire department to see if a burn permit is required. Visit “Idaho Burn Permits” or any of the Idaho Dept of Lands offices.
