Alfred 'Al' Jensen, 84

Alfred “Papa” Jensen, on this day, May 10, 2025, went to be with our Heavenly Father. Al was 84 years young.’

Al was born May 19, 1940, to Owen and Emma (Crawford) Jensen in Tooele, Utah. He graduated from high school in Spanish Forks, Utah, and continued his education at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. Al enlisted and served his country in the United States Army. He was in the 1st Infantry Division, Big Red 1 and was stationed in Berlin, Germany.  

Al was the owner and operator of Jensen Construction in Hayden, Idaho, for over 40 years. He was a well-known and respected builder in our community.  

Al was a proud member of the Brush Bunch Dirt Bike and Snowmobiling Club. He spent his free time with family and friends, engaging in activities such as golfing, dirt bike riding, snowmobiling, water skiing, and snow skiing, as well as assisting family and friends with their projects. Al had celebrated his 12th year of sobriety.  

Al is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail, of 34 years; sons Darren (and Rory) Carkuff, Cory (and Pam) Jensen, Keith (and Jeanell) Jennings; daughter Kammi Archinal; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister Diane (and Ron) Barney; sisters-in-law Renae Jensen, Rita Peck; brothers-in-law Ron Barney, Bucky Arnold and Lyle Arnold; numerous nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Benny and Willie. He will be missed and loved by all — one more ride.  

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Real Life Ministries — Hayden Campus, located at 9485 N. Maple St., Hayden, Idaho 83835.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org
