Full caption: Sandpoint resident Eric Plummer, left, and son Declan Plummer, right, recently teamed up with NBA legend Lafayette "Fat" Lever at a pickleball charity event in Phoenix, Ariz. The event included a host of former pro athletes, including NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens and former NFL quarterbacks Jake Plummer and Ryan Fitzpatrick, who were paired with local pickleball enthusiasts for a one-day tournament. Lever, an All-Star point guard for the Denver Nuggets in the 1980s, was one of the original triple-double machines, once posting 21 points, 13 rebounds, 14 assists and eight steals in a game, just missing joining David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alvin Robertson and Nate Thurmond as the only NBA players ever with a quadruple-double.
