It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Josh Archer, affectionately known as "Big Josh," who left us May 11, 2025. Born on Sept. 21, 1987, Josh was 37 years old at the time of his passing.

Josh was a loving and devoted husband to Shayla Archer and father to Anthony, Kierra, Devin, Andon and Uncle Larry. He brought joy and laughter to their lives with his quick wit and smart remarks. His incredible knack for finding humor in everyday life endeared him to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Josh loved camping and boating, cherishing every moment spent in nature with family and friends. He found peace and joy by the water and in the wilderness, creating lasting memories with those he loved.

Professionally, Josh was a journeyman plumber and general contractor, proudly owning J. Archer Plumbing LLC. His dedication to his craft and his clients was evident in every job he undertook. He took great pride in his work and loved mentoring those who aspired to learn the trade.

Josh is survived by his twin brother, Jake Archer; his sister, Jenea Walker; his father, Eddie Archer (stepmom Lisa Archer); his mother, Anne Perkins (stepdad Dan Perkins); and his grandmothers, Virginia E. Pugh and Gail Perkins. The love of his family was paramount in his life, and he cherished the bond they shared.

He is preceded in death by his stepsister, Tara Perkins, and his grandparents, Harold and Joann Archer, Pat and Jean McKenna, James W. Pugh and Pete A Perkins. His memory will live on through his children and family, who will continue to cherish the moments and lessons he imparted to them. He was not only a fantastic husband, dad, son and brother, but also a friend and mentor, offering support and guidance with his unique blend of humor and love.

A memorial service for Josh will be held Tuesday, May 27, at 3 p.m. at Lake City Church in Coeur d'Alene. Friends and family are welcome to come together to celebrate his life and share stories that reflect the joy he brought into our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to www.gofund.me in Josh's honor to help support the family with their expenses.

Josh Archer will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love for life will forever resonate in our hearts.
