NOTES: Post Falls senior Cobe Cameron, last year’s state 5A champion in the 400-meter dash, has the fifth fastest time in the event this year according to Athletic.net (49.15 seconds) ... Coeur d’Alene senior Max Cervi-Skinner is second in the 1,600 (4:12.25), followed by Viking senior Zack Cervi-Skinner in third (4:12.91) ... Both Max and Zack have signed to compete in track and field and cross country at Wake Forest .... Zack Cervi-Skinner (8:58.33) holds the fastest time in the 3,200, with sophomore Wyatt Carr (8:58.44) and Max Cervi-Skinner (8:58.50) second and third ... Post Falls senior Isaac McKeown leads the state in the javelin (166 feet, 4 inches), with Trojan senior Tyras Blake third (152-9) ... This is the first year the javelin will be a scored event at the state meet ... McKeown (NAIA Arizona Christian) and Blake (Eastern Washington) have signed to compete in football at the college level ... Post Falls senior Chloe Van Volkinburg, who has signed with Spokane Colleges (formerly Community Colleges of Spokane), is fourth in the 200 (25.26) and 400 (57.99) ... Lake City senior Hazel Kunkel, signed to compete in cross country and track at Northwest Nazarene, is third in the 800 (2:15.07) .... Lakeland senior Brayden Carrel is fourth in the shot put (50-3) ... Lakeland senior Ben Roth is fourth in the high jump (6-2) ... Lakeland sophomore Sapphire Ruelle is second in the 100 (12.44) and 200 (25.68) ... Lakeland junior Karstyn Kiefer is fourth in the 300 hurdles (47.86) ... NOTES: St. Maries junior Isaiah Gustaffe is third in the 110 hurdles (15.48) ... St. Maries senior Julien Ceja-Grimaldo leads the state in the javelin (164-8) and is second in the triple jump (43-10 ¼) ... St. Maries sophomore Raevyn Yearout is fourth in the 200 (26.09) ... St. Maries freshman Dimerica Spooner is second in the javelin (110-0) ... Soda Springs ended a five-year run as champion by the Melba girls last year.
