Thomas Michael Lipscomb, affectionately known as "Turtle" to his family and friends, passed away peacefully March 4, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on Nov. 22, 1948, in California, Tom lived life with an infectious energy and enthusiasm that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A proud Navy veteran, Tom served his country with honor and dedication. His commitment to service was just one reflection of his steadfast character. In his later years, he found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was casting a line into the peaceful waters of North Idaho or navigating a boat with Wendy, his beloved wife of over 43 years. These quiet moments spent with loved ones were among his most treasured.

Tom was a man whose warmth and wit knew no bounds. His laughter was contagious, and his genuine interest in others made everyone feel valued. Whether he was sharing a story or offering a listening ear, his presence was a light that brightened every room.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Lipscomb; his daughters, Josie Bardsley and Jenna Fay; sons-in-law Chris Bardsley and Ryan Fay; and his cherished grandchildren, Shane, Christopher, Luke and Evan, all of whom will miss his guidance, love and humor.

Memorial service will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel at 373 E. Hayden Ave. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

Tom's legacy will live on in the love he shared, the stories he told and the laughter he spread. He was truly a one-of-a-kind spirit whose memory will be cherished forever.
