Brian D. Hamond, loving husband, father and grandfather, retired Spokane Police detective and proud Navy veteran, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 66. He will be remembered for his integrity, humility, and commitment to protecting others.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann, his father, Merlin (Dutch), his sister, Wanda, brothers, Merle James and Allen, son, Logan, and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley, son, Curtis (Kristen) Hamond, stepsons, Justin Parks and Kameron (Erica) Parks, stepson, Adam Allie and stepdaughter, Sara Allie, a daughter who lives out of state, sisters, Noma and Tyre, numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held on June 7 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 806 W. Knox, Spokane, at 11 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paradise Church of God, P.O. Box 7, Paradise, MT 59856, a small church in Montana that holds a big piece of Brian’s heart.

Rest in peace, Brian. Your watch is over, and your duty fulfilled. You will never be forgotten.
