Veterans to host community yard sale

SANDPOINT — Support local veterans and take up the opportunity to participate in a community yard sale.  

The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28 welcomes community members to attend its veteran-run yard sale June 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sandpoint VFW Hall.  

All proceeds will be equally distributed to veteran charities such as the DAV, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Marine Corps League and the Vietnam Veterans of America. 

Individuals interested in selling personal items can reserve an 8-foot table for $20. The DAV encourages interested community members to sign up early, as tables are reserved on a first come, first served basis — there are 40 tables available. Event officials recommend bringing a popup tent if you’re selling items outdoors; the sale will occur rain or shine. 

Hot dogs, hamburgers and snacks will be available for purchase during the event.
