Barnhart, a sophomore, won the state 4A 800-meter dash in 1 minute, 55.52 seconds on Saturday at Middleton High. Barnhart also ran the anchor leg of the school’s sprint medley relay team, which claimed a 4A title on Friday. “Jonathan is an impressive young man,” Timberlake coach Brian Kluss said. “When he is on the track, there are not many people that give you more than he does. He is incredibly competitive and will run until he has no more to give.”
